PDF to Word Free is a simple, fast, and completely free online document toolkit. What started as a single PDF-to-Word converter has grown into a full set of tools for everyday document work — converting, compressing, merging, splitting, organizing, protecting, and OCR-ing PDF and Word files — all effortless, without paywalls, sign-ups, or watermarks.
We built this because most online converters make you jump through hoops: creating an account, handing over an email address, waiting in a queue, or paying to remove branding from your own files. Privacy first
Your documents are your business. Most tools run entirely on our own server — files are handled in memory and are never written to disk or stored, and nothing is kept once your download is ready. A few conversions (PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, PDF to PowerPoint, and Merge Word) may use a trusted third-party engine to deliver the best quality; for those, your file is transmitted securely, used only to complete your conversion, and not retained. Scan to PDF's optional "Send to my computer" feature is the one exception to in-memory-only processing: if you choose to use it, the finished PDF is briefly relayed through temporary cloud storage so your computer can pick it up, then deleted immediately — nothing is sent anywhere unless you tap that button yourself.
