To crop a PDF for free, open it above, click Crop on any page thumbnail, and drag the corner or edge handles to set the area to keep. Each page can be cropped by a different amount, or left untouched. Download saves the result. Everything happens inside your browser; the PDF is never uploaded, and PDFs of up to 200 pages are supported. No sign-up, no email, and no watermark.

Crop margins or borders from any page — independently

Every page opens as a thumbnail with its own Crop button. Click it to open a crop box directly on that page: drag any corner or edge handle to resize it, or drag inside it to move it. Each page keeps its own crop — trim wide margins off a scanned page while leaving a full-bleed page untouched, or crop just the odd page out in a document with mixed sizes.

Nothing is uploaded to crop a page. Your PDF opens locally, and each crop is written directly into the file — the same process the download step uses for every other edit here. Pages you don't crop are left exactly as they were. Pressing Download just saves the result to your device.

Crop each page independently

A scanned document rarely has identical margins on every page, and some pages — a cover, a landscape chart — may need no cropping at all. Click Crop on just the pages that need it, drag their crop box into place, and leave every other page exactly as it was. There is no single crop applied across the whole document.

Drag to set the exact area

The crop box can be resized by dragging any corner or edge handle, or moved by dragging inside it — a live preview shows exactly what will be kept before you download anything.

Private by construction, not just by policy

There is no server step to crop a page — your PDF opens and each crop is written in, entirely on your device, so there is nothing to upload in the first place. That makes it safe to crop a document you would rather not send anywhere, and it works the same on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android since the work all happens on your own device.

Cropping alongside other edits

Need to crop a document you are also reorganizing? Our Edit PDF tool has the same per-page Crop button plus delete, duplicate, reorder, rotate, page numbers, a watermark or corner stamp, placing a photo directly on a page, and splitting the result — so every change goes into a single download instead of round-tripping through separate tools.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping my PDF upload it anywhere?

No. The PDF opens and each crop is written in, entirely in your browser. Download builds the cropped file and saves it straight from your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

Can I crop pages by different amounts?

Yes. Each page has its own independent crop box, so you can trim one page a lot, another a little, and leave others uncropped entirely.

Will cropping reduce my PDF quality?

No. Cropping only changes the visible area of a page — the underlying content is not re-rendered, compressed, or downgraded.

Can I undo a crop I already applied?

Yes, as long as you have not downloaded yet — reopen Crop on that page and use Reset to restore it to the full page.

Is there a limit on how many pages I can crop?

PDFs of up to 200 pages are supported, because a thumbnail is rendered for every page so you can see what you are cropping. The one other limit is 25 MB for the file you open.

How do I crop a PDF on Windows, Mac, iPhone, or Android?

The same way on every device. This is a free online tool that runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. Open this page on any device, crop the pages you need, and download the result.

Your privacy comes first

Every uploaded file is processed securely over an encrypted connection and is never written to disk or stored — it is automatically discarded the moment your download is ready. We never ask for an email address, and you never need to create an account before you can download your file. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
