A live preview on that page's thumbnail shows exactly how it will look before you commit to anything.
It never leaves your browser. Your PDF opens locally, and the image is drawn directly into the page — the same process the download step uses for every other edit here. Zoom in on the page to check exact placement before you download. Nothing is uploaded; pressing Download just saves the result to your device.

The Insert image panel places a JPEG or PNG — a photo, a scanned signature, a diagram — directly onto whichever existing page you pick, with its own size and rotation angle. It is centered on that page by default; drag it directly on the thumbnail to place it exactly where you want instead.
One page, not every page
Unlike a watermark or stamp, which repeat across the whole document, an inserted image lands on a single page you choose by number. Need a mark repeated across every page instead — a logo, "CONFIDENTIAL", a corner seal? Use the Add Watermark to PDF or Add Stamp to PDF tool instead.
See it before you download
A live preview appears on the target page's thumbnail as soon as an image is uploaded, updating instantly as you change the page, size, rotation, or position — so there is no guessing how the final PDF will look before you commit to a download.
Private by construction, not just by policy
There is no server step to insert an image — your PDF opens and the image is drawn in, entirely on your device, so there is nothing to upload in the first place. What image formats can I insert?

Can I choose which page the image goes on?
Yes. Type in the page number and the image lands there — it is placed on one page you pick, not repeated across the document.
Can I resize or rotate the inserted image?
Yes. Type in its width as a percentage of the page (5% to 100%), and any rotation angle you want, in degrees, from a slight tilt to a full sideways turn.
Can I move the image after placing it?
Yes. It starts centered on the page you chose — drag it directly on the thumbnail to reposition it exactly where you want, any time before you download.
What is the difference between this and Watermark or Stamp?
Insert image places a photo on one page you choose. Watermark repeats a text or image mark across every page, and Stamp places a single badge-style mark in one corner of every page — for those, use the Add Watermark to PDF or Add Stamp to PDF tool.
Can I zoom in to check the image placement?
Yes. Zoom controls sit in the toolbar so you can zoom in on the page to check exact size and position before you download, or zoom out to see more pages at once.
Can I remove an image I already inserted?
Yes, as long as you have not downloaded yet — remove it from the Insert image panel before you download.
Is there a limit on how many images I can insert?
One image per visit to this tool — to place images on several different pages, download after each one and reopen the result, or use the full Edit PDF tool. The one size limit is 25 MB for the file you open.
