To add a stamp to a PDF for free, open it above, click Stamp in the toolbar, and turn it on. Type text — with one-click presets for "APPROVED", "REJECTED", "DRAFT", "PAID", and "URGENT" — or switch to Image and upload a signature or logo, then pick a corner or drag the stamp directly on the page, and type in a rotation angle if you want it tilted. A live preview shows it on every page thumbnail. Download to save the file. Everything is applied inside your browser; the PDF is never uploaded. No sign-up, no email, and no added branding.
Place a single stamp in one corner of every page
Open the Stamp panel in the toolbar and switch it on: type text — quick presets for "APPROVED", "REJECTED", "DRAFT", "PAID", and "URGENT", or anything else you type — or switch to Image and upload a signature or company seal instead. Pick a corner, or drag the stamp directly on the page to place it exactly where you want, type in a rotation angle to tilt it, and it is placed on every page the moment you download. A live preview on each thumbnail shows exactly how it will look before you commit to anything.
It never leaves your browser. Your PDF opens locally, and the stamp is drawn directly into the file — the same process the download step uses for every other edit here. Zoom in on a page to check exact placement before you download. Nothing is uploaded; pressing Download just saves the result to your device.
Need something repeated across the whole page instead — "CONFIDENTIAL" or "DRAFT" tiled at an angle — rather than a single corner mark? Use the Add Watermark to PDF tool instead.
A single stamp, exactly where you want it
The Stamp panel places one mark — quick presets for "APPROVED", "REJECTED", "DRAFT", "PAID", and "URGENT", any other text you type, or an uploaded image such as a signature or company seal — in a single corner of every page, with its own size, color, opacity, and rotation angle. Pick a corner from the panel, or drag the stamp directly on the page to place it exactly where you want, and type in any angle to tilt it.
Text or image, your choice
Type your own text for a custom stamp, or switch to Image and upload a JPEG or PNG — a signature, a company seal, a logo. Either way, size, opacity, and, for text, color are yours to adjust, so the stamp can sit as a bold badge or a faint mark.
See it before you download
A live preview appears on every page thumbnail as soon as the stamp is turned on, updating instantly as you change any setting — so there is no guessing how the final PDF will look before you commit to a download.
Private by construction, not just by policy
There is no server step to add a stamp — your PDF opens and it is drawn in, entirely on your device, so there is nothing to upload in the first place. That makes it safe to mark up a document you would rather not send anywhere, and it works the same on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android since the work all happens on your own device.
Frequently asked questions
Does stamping my PDF upload it anywhere?
No. The PDF opens and the stamp is drawn in, entirely in your browser. Download builds the finished file and saves it straight from your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
Can I use an image as a stamp instead of text?
Yes. Switch the Stamp panel's type to Image and upload a JPEG or PNG — a signature or a company seal — and it is placed in the corner of your choice on every page.
What stamp presets are available?
One-click presets for "APPROVED", "REJECTED", "DRAFT", "PAID", and "URGENT" — or type any other text you want instead.
Can I place the stamp somewhere other than a corner?
Yes. Pick one of the six corner and edge positions from the panel, or drag the stamp directly on any page thumbnail to place it exactly where you want.
Can I rotate the stamp?
Yes. Type in any rotation angle you want, in degrees, for either a text or an image stamp — from a slight tilt to a full sideways turn.
What is the difference between Stamp and Watermark?
Stamp places a single text or image mark in one corner, like an "APPROVED" badge, a signature, or a logo. For a mark that repeats across the whole page, at any angle you choose — typical for "CONFIDENTIAL" or "DRAFT" — use the Add Watermark to PDF tool instead.
Can I zoom in to check the stamp placement?
Yes. Zoom controls sit in the toolbar so you can zoom in on a page to check exact size and position before you download, or zoom out to see more pages at once.
Can I remove a stamp I already added?
Yes, as long as you have not downloaded yet — click its Delete icon on the page itself, or delete each stamp you added from the list in the panel.
Is there a limit on how many pages get stamped?
No limit — the stamp applies to every page. The one size limit is 25 MB for the file you open.
How do I add a stamp to a PDF on Windows, Mac, iPhone, or Android?
The same way on every device. This is a free online tool that runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. Open this page on any device, set up your stamp, and download the result.
