Drag your pages into the right order

The position numbers update as you go, so you can see the finished order before you download it.

Delete pages while you rearrange them

Reordering and deleting usually go together — the page you want gone is right next to the one you want moved. Every thumbnail carries a × button that deletes that page from the finished PDF, so you can rearrange and remove pages in a single pass instead of running two tools and downloading twice. The header keeps a running count of how many pages you have deleted, and nothing is dropped until you download: Reset restores every deleted page in its original position. If you would rather delete by typing page numbers (say, "2, 5-7") than by clicking thumbnails, our Delete PDF Pages tool does exactly that.

Fix a page that ended up in the wrong place

Scanners feed pages out of sequence, a signature page lands at the front instead of the back, and merged documents often need one section moved — usually alongside a blank page or a cover sheet that should not be there at all. Instead of rebuilding the file, rearrange the PDF pages, delete the ones you do not need, and download it again. There is a Reverse button for documents scanned back-to-front, and a Reset button that puts everything back exactly as you uploaded it.

Your pages keep their original quality

Reordering never re-renders your document. The pages you keep are copied across exactly as they are — fonts, images, and layout are preserved, and nothing is compressed or downgraded. The thumbnails are drawn in your own browser purely so you can see what you are dragging and deleting; the page order you build is then applied to the original file on the server.

Password-protected, scanned, and large PDFs

A scanned PDF reorders perfectly — the pages are pictures, and they are moved as-is with no quality loss. A password-protected or encrypted PDF cannot be rearranged directly: remove its password first with our Unlock PDF tool (you need to know the password), then reorder it. PDFs of up to 200 pages and 25 MB are supported, since a thumbnail is drawn for every page. To break one PDF into several separate files instead, use Split PDF.
