Print or export a wide spreadsheet to PDF the ordinary way and you’ll often get exactly what you feared: the last few columns sliced off at the page edge, or the sheet spread across three pages when it should be one. This is the single most common complaint about Excel-to-PDF conversion, and it has a specific cause — Excel’s default print settings assume a fixed page width, and if your columns add up to wider than that, the printer (or “print to PDF”) crops whatever doesn’t fit rather than shrinking it. It looks like a bug, but it’s actually Excel doing exactly what its print settings told it to.
Go to the Excel to PDF page and add your file — both .xls and .xlsx are supported, up to 25 MB. Click convert, and each worksheet is automatically scaled to fit one page wide before it becomes a PDF, so your columns stay together instead of breaking onto extra pages. Download the finished file — fonts, borders, and number formatting preserved, with nothing sliced off at the edges. Formula results come through as their displayed values, exactly as they appear in the spreadsheet, and every worksheet in the workbook is included in the output.
If your workbook is password-protected, remove the password in Excel first (File → Info → Protect Workbook) before converting — an encrypted file can’t be read by any converter. If the finished PDF needs protecting instead, run it through Lock PDF afterward.
From there: compress the PDF if it’s too large to email, merge it with other reports or documents, or go the other direction with PDF to Excel, which extracts tables from a PDF back into an editable spreadsheet.
